What is BS-VI Car Engine

                 BS-V Related Question's

what is BS in the car all you need to know about as an engineer and as a common person who interested in automobile
If you always try to think what is that BS - written on the car's and have the curiosity to known about that, so today you are in the best place where I clear your all query

QUESTION COMES ON BS?

1. what is BS stand for?
2. under which BS working? And how much benefits of this    &    Is necessary to jump (BS5)- V
3. Roles of BS

Here comes solution's

                          1. what is BS stands for - so BS meaning is Bharat Stage it is that stage which represents that on which stage on emission control we are working nowadays. BS is similar to Euro both play the same role to control the pollution from the vehicles.

Some history of  BS These standards are based on Europian regulation in India this is introduced in 2000. then all vehicle manufacture is needed to make their vehicles according to this act. and in October 2010 BS III is introduced in major 13 cities to regulate the pollution from these cites.
Now we got an idea of what is BS and when it is implemented in India and where this concept actually comes from.

                            2. Under which Board these are regulations are work, these all things come under pollution control  Board. the main focus or objective is to manage the pollution at any cost. Nowadays we are able to use (BS6)-VI car's

3. why we need to jump (BS5) - V before judging this we need to first see what is the air quality of the major cities like (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad) main point to see in Air Quality is

pollution char

               Let's define the term's

PM 2.5 AQI  (Atmospheric Particulate Matter ) & PM 2.5 refers to the Particulate matter that has a diameter of fewer than 2.5 micrometers, these are that much small you can only see through the microscope.

PM 10 AQI similar to PM  2.5 in this dia is less than 10 micrometers and this is larger in size as compare to PM 2.5.

(O3) we take it simple so O3 is an ozone Colourless gas which is soluble in alkalis and cold water

above fig. we show max and current situation. what is a good one is lying under 0 to 50
so from this data, we are able to see the difference of the pollution in some cites now

so that is major reason why we just jump the (BS5) - V b.eacuse instead of BS5 6 is more efficient and more helpful to overcome the pollution.

but that is not so easy if we say instead of BS 6 why we do not jump to BS 7 or higher one that simple answer is we have not that much technology.

let quickly see what is requirement's of BS6

- more clear filters fuels
- a catalytic converter that help's reduce the poison able gasses not directly mess in the atmosphere  which out form engine
- other changes in the engine due to that it can mostly eliminate the gases inside or leave no residual.
- BS 6 reports say it not emit more than 60 mg/km of NOx (Nitrogen Oxide), emission,

             3.  Role of BS -

according  to the above theory, we conclude that BS  plays a very important role in take  care of pollution and server a better life to over the pollution, if there was no regulation board then the pollution amount which we are able to absorb nowadays is more than or ever worse cases comes in front,

Bharat emission control stages just regulate the emissions from the vehicles.

Does Electric car take over to IC engine all facts

IC VS EV

INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE VS ELECTRIC VEHICLE

IC Engine VS Electric

Let’s Quickly see part’s of IC Engine

First clear what is IC engine Internal combustion engine
1.Parts of IC Engine
2.Crankshaft
3.Camshaft
4.Connecting rod
5.Spark plug
6.Valves
7.Cooling water jacket
8.Engine block

world's most efficient cycle that cycle is Carnot cycle this is just for reference not directly link to that topic
Carnot cycle

let's see petrol and diesel engine work on which cycle

  •  petrol engine
The petrol engine was introduced by Nicolaus August Otto in Germany in 1876. work's on Otto cycle.

Otto Cycle

  • Diesel Engine
A diesel engine works on the diesel cycle. that was firstly introduced by the Rudolf Diesel. in 1885 which is developed as compression Ignition.

Electric Vehicle :

electric vehicle refers to any vehicle that uses electric motors for propulsion
an electric car is an automobile that is propelled using one or more than one electric motor,
electric energy store in the rechargeable battery,
the first electric car is produced in the 1880s. these cars were popular in late 19s or easy 20th century these car reduces greenhouse fas emission. and improve air quality
The tesla model 3 was the world's selling EV (electric vehicle) form 2018 to 2019, which is a popular brand also made security truck, most effective EV is formed by Tesla. Nowadays other company also celebrates in this field.
the electric vehicle has little or no dependence on fuels.

let's quickly see parts of electric car

1. Controler that regulates the electric energy from battery and inverters utilizes properly also able to say it provide direction where to flow required
 Battery  Bank

2. Invertor that provides a certain amount of energy of that much energy which is required

3. The electric motor that converts the electric energy comes from invertor convert to the mechanical, b.coz of mechanical energy our car able to move

The Disadvantages of electric vehicles

Reliance on earth elements such as neodymium, terbium, lanthanum, and dysprosium or other critical metals such as lithium and cobalt
by extracting these elements form the core of the earth that is not beneficial to our environment

Types of car chassis

We are Introducing Automobile Chassis so First Question in Mind is that What is Chassis, How to Explain that
so lets try to explain in shorter words and easy as possible as.

There is also confusion b/w chassis and frame let also try to figure out which is what? where we use chassis word and where we use frame word

What is Frame ?

Frame is just like a skeleton without any mountings, as shown in fig. (1.1)

fig {1.1}

What is Chassis ?

Chassis is Mounted Frame. It Consist of the Frame plus the transmission,  Motor, Engine Differential and Suspensions.  Shown in fig (1.2)

fig {1.2}

{This is major difference b/w the car chassis and frame hope you got that point}

Let's quickly revise types of chassis available for automobile

Divide into Four Categories :

Conventional chassis : - this type is made as separate unit then joined by various method's

Non conventional frames :- frame less chassis. in this absence of frame or body itself act as frame

Semi-forward control :- In which engine is mounted on the half of it is the driver's cabin like some pickup and trucks has made on this concept

Full-forward control : - In which engine is mounted completely inside the driver's cabin, In this frame max space is utilized.

1. Ladder

Ladder chassis as it name indicate the chassis is same as its name, it is a better type of chassis in term of durability, maintenance and reliability    [ note  : - chassis frames are loaded by static forces from the body and load, as design view load is taken as uniform distributed load ] this is made like ladder as one part then other as shown in fig. below
ladder chassis
ladder frame

Types of ladder frame

1. C cross section
2. I cross section
3. Rectangular Box [Hollow]
4. Rectangular Box [Intermediate]

2. Tubular Frame

This chassis is conventional type chassis, easy to built up and design, parts are welded , In this hollow pipes or other type of pipes are used to build that, This is not strong enough, Motor racing engineers developed  3 dimensional design
shown in fig.

4. Monocoque

This is single shell construction Monocoque construction called Unit body or Unibody
firstly Monocoque designed in steel, so it is heaver then car maker find alternative materials like aluminum.
as compare to other this frame is 36% lighter than other that is named as [ ULSAB ]
Monocoque used for wood frames and metals frames. used in early airplanes.

benefits high fuel efficiency due to low weight
Monocoque chassis

6. Rolling chassis

This is type of chassis which is without the body work  {coach or cabin}
assembled with its final power train and able to move under its own power
